Designer Wallpaper & Murals
Wallpaper is one of those things that can completely shift the feeling of a room.
It can bring depth to a plain space, make a small powder room feel like a jewel box, soften a bedroom, add a sense of history, or turn one wall into the piece everyone talks about when they walk in. It is not just decoration. It is atmosphere.
At Brinnie T Design, we work with wallpaper and murals that are expressive, beautifully made and a little unexpected. Think hand-painted florals, moody landscapes, playful prints, rich textures, Art Deco glamour, oversized botanicals and designs that make you stop and look twice.
Our Cowes studio has a growing collection of wallpaper books and samples for you to explore in person. This is important, because wallpaper is one of those finishes that needs to be seen properly. The scale of the pattern, the texture of the paper, the way colour changes in your light and how it sits alongside your flooring, paint, fabrics and furniture all matter.
Wallpaper that feels like you
There is a wallpaper for every kind of home, but it needs to feel right for the people living in it.
For some clients, that means a subtle grasscloth-look texture that adds warmth without shouting. For others, it is a full-scale mural behind the dining table, a tropical powder room, or a wildly beautiful print running across all four walls of a bedroom.
You do not need to be a maximalist to use wallpaper. You just need to be open to creating a home with more personality than a row of white walls.
We can help you choose wallpaper for:
-
Living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms
-
Powder rooms and bathrooms
-
Hallways, stairwells and entry spaces
-
Children’s rooms and teen retreats
-
Holiday homes and investment properties
-
Feature walls, full rooms and custom wall murals

Wallpaper or mural: what is the difference?
Traditional wallpaper is supplied as repeating lengths, so the pattern continues across the wall. It is brilliant for creating rhythm, texture and a layered backdrop within a room.
A mural is designed as one complete image across a specific wall or space. It may be a landscape, abstract artwork, oversized floral, jungle scene or something entirely custom. Murals are often used when you want the wall to become the focal point of the room.
Both can be transformative. The best choice comes down to the room, the scale of the wall, how you use the space and how bold you want to go.

Our wallpaper collections
We source from a mix of Australian and international wallpaper houses, with a particular love for designers who bring colour, character and artistry into the home.
Featured Designers
Divine Savages
Divine Savages is one of my forever favourites. Their designs are theatrical, clever and gloriously decorative, with a mix of vintage references, bold colour and just enough eccentricity to make a room feel special.
Perfect for anyone who wants something a little bit Deco, a little bit unexpected, or simply a lot fabulous.

Kerrie Brown Design
Kerrie Brown Designs creates original Australian wallpaper, fabric and murals with a strong artistic point of view. Her work is full of movement, colour and personality, and works beautifully when a room needs a real sense of drama.
Her Orange Is the New Black mural was used in the dining room at Amanda House, where it became the starting point for the whole space.
